The Path to Sunset

I tried to stay on the shore for a good sunset photo whilst being blown harshly by the wind yesterday. It wasn’t that good because there’s too much clouds in the sky, and in the end it started raining. Oh well, maybe next time again.
The time when you realized you weren’t alone afterall
This semester has been fun, well… for the time being I guess.
I took Painting, Creative Arts and Technology, Introduction to Communication and also Digital Photography and Videography.
I’m just glad there’s Discovery Year, where you get to explore outside your nest and see how the world is different than the one you were confined in for the last two years. Plus, you get extra skills, so if you got lost on one path, you get another path to walk on. During this semester, I get to take Arts, like I’ve always wanted to.
Last Tuesday I got my first try on canvas painting. It was at Jerudong Beach. We get to paint anything we see. Nad and I chose the sea-view because it’s the easiest to paint. Haha. I also had to borrow Nad’s jar of white acrylic ’cause I was so lazy to squeeze my own paint. Here’s mine.

Nad’s one was a hippie-on-high-substance painting. She has a lot of colors on hers.
Thanks to Nad, she lent me her dslr to do my photography assignment. It was awesumesauce! (*_*) Went to Tungku Beach last week to capture the ‘golden’ moment, but my stomach gave in so I left early.
Afternoon snack at Délifrance with family today. Haven’t been there since months.
Ben and Beckham. All grown up so fast. *sniffles*
When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonades
2012! What’s up!
I just finished my 5 months long internship last day of last year. It was fun and memorable. I wished we could stayed a bit longer now that we know each other quite well.
Aaaand of course, after internship comes the nightmare report. I also have to get my intern assessment report from my work supervisor, in which I haven’t contacted him yet.
Tomorrow I’m heading back to my hometown for CNY. I didn’t go back last year, so it is kind of a mandatory thing to go back this year. But that means I have to miss my classes. And I hate missing classes because there are things that could not be explained by my fellow classmates and they could’ve missed that important part of the lecture.
Then again, if I had to choose between family and studies, I’d go for family. Without them, I won’t even be here studying right now.
That aside, our shipment finally came! Like FINALLY!
From top-left: Fleece hoodie, bird claw bracelet, bronze bracelet (Bought from Rainforest Gallery) and nail ring!
I love the nail ring! It’s practically two-in-one, you can have it as a ring, or as a nail! As you wear it, you just have to claw something! This may be how the catwoman feels.
Starting to draw more this year. Took art modules for this semester. Yay!
Happy Chinese New Year y’all!
December is here!
Bonjour, or Bonsoir.
This past few months have been hectic, but I’ve come to learn a lot of interesting facts and skills from the people I’ve met.
Truth to be told, I’m glad I took internship in the first place. Mr. C was right. It doesn’t matter whether you take study abroad programs, or community service programs, the most important thing is how you will be able to learn anything outside your comfort zone and explore the real world. What is crucial is that you learn about life, which can’t be taught just by reading text from pieces of papers.
My Boss recommended us (including Akif, who I’m glad to know as a colleague) to join Speechcraft, a special class to improve communication skills or public speaking skills, and helps increase our confidence level as we speak to audiences – small or big. At first we were scared, because we have to give speeches! We were reluctant to join actually, but Boss, she gave us a kind smile.
At this point, you might think a kind smile means nothing.
But if you were me, at that point of time, with Boss sitting right in front of you, giving you a kind smile, it is actually a pretty scary scene.
So in the end, long story short, we joined Speechcraft and to be honest, we have 0% regret. Just this week we officially got the certificate for acknowledgement in joining this wonderful class. Horray!
On New Year’s Eve, we will be ending our internship there. I will miss my moments there, especially when I just get to know my bosses and the staff.
Anyway, pictures. I’m tired to type more after this. Haha.
VF: Takaba shoot
Ola amigos.
Working has been tiring lately. Recently it has been fun with my Akif as my colleague-in-crime. At times I’m really grateful for Akif’s existence, because if I were alone by myself there I might have another break down. Haha.
Speaking of Akif, he’s from ITB. And his birthday falls on this Monday. Plus he is one year younger than me, but he calls me ‘older’ <— (See the emphasize of the word). Ugh, young ones keep pissin’ me off these days. I’ll pretend I’ve forgotten about his birthday as a revenge. >:D
Anyways, yesterday Jes-su had an epiphany about her Viewfinder photoshoot. It occurred when she was trying to sleep and woke up with great sudden. It was the most last minute shoot I’ve experienced in my life. HAHA!
So we did it… kinda. We definitely had a lot of regrets on a lot of things yesterday – about wigs, about cameras, about make ups, about poses. Jes-su and I made an unbreakable vow (not really… but unbreakable vow DOES sound cooler than on-the-spot-decision) that we shall re-do this shoot after she come back from UK.
Before I stop typing things you wouldn’t wanna read, let me make a disclaimer. ’cause I’m cool that way.
In any case during this photoshoot I’ve never ever proclaim myself as a pro photographer or what society deems a ‘real’ photographer is. I am just a lady who uses a digital camera with minimal knowledge of photography essentials and huge load of eye-to-picturesque imagination, and a chunk full of tips from my friends.
The purpose of having cosplay photoshoots are mostly encouraging us to have fun and spending the time together. And also make an album of the cosplays we did. And maybe when we grow old and moldy we might laugh our wrinkly faces off and go “We did that?! OMG!”
Without further torturing your eyes to read all the texts, here are some photos:
Cosplayer – Jes-su
Series – Viewfinder
Character – Takaba Akihito
Here are some facts you might not need to know, but great to read:
FACT 1 – Jes-su had nail polish on. What you say?! You can’t see ‘em? Look closely and snort out loud.
FACT 2 – Jes-su’s eyes are one big one small. It’s a fact. You can’t see it ’cause she had to open one eye big with her might. And some magic happened.
FACT 3 – Jes-su will pose awkwardly at first before going natural. FACT.
FACT 4 – In most photoshoots, 99% of the time Jes-su will pose with her watch on. NO KIDDING.
FACT 5 – Jes-su is, and always is, a FEMALE. As in, ‘FE-el depressed because she hotter than you as a MALE’?
FACT 6 – Most photos are shot with Jes-su digi-cam. Don’t ask why I didn’t use mine, I’m depressed now.
I’ll get my hands on a DSLR one day! I need to take up a photography class too…

I can’t sleep. So here I am. Posting something.
I am very sick now. And I don’t like the feeling of being sick.
Today’s Day 8 of my internship! It is getting interesting. Made some friends from ITB. They are seriously outgoing and positive! Unlike me, I had a nervous breakdown on the first day. And it was after I got home! Not cool man, not cool.
I still can’t talk to my seniors in a carefree manner. I’m too shy, maybe! And there’s always this imaginary employee-boss boundary that always appear in front of me. My mind always reminded me not to get too friendly with your boss. I don’t know why, but it’s there. Maybe as time goes by we can share jokes or something like that.
Let me tell you one thing, internship’s good and all, but the office is like a giant freezer with little humans trying to work without getting frozen.
Or it might be where I’m sitting – in front of the air-con. Bad feng-shui? I’d say yes. I caught a cold. Self-explanatory.
Flu topic aside, I’ve finally had a get-together with Eng Yun a.k.a. Bunny for the first time in August! It was supposed to be a 4-person dinner. But two of them cancelled on that day so it was just Bunny and I!
We went to Kimchi Restaurant for their BBQ buffet. I’ve never tried the Korean BBQ so we went ahead to enjoy ourselves.
It was DELICIOUS. I felt bad pushing all the spicy stuff for Bunny.
But all in all, we shouldn’t have ordered the soup! Too much! For my belly, that is.
Ahhh, BBQ taste best during cold weathers.
Luckily I don’t have to work tomorrow. I still can’t sleep after typing all these. Maybe I should soothe myself with Jay Chou’s Secret OSTs.
Tomorrow’s attachment day!
Bloody… I’m having butterflies in my stomach now. I feel nervous.
Tomorrow I have to be there before 8a.m. and report myself as an internship from UBD.
But I keep having these ‘what if’ thoughts, like:
What if I screw up during the first day?
What if I can’t do well in one of those task they give us?
What if they wanted us to write Java programs?
What if I screw up something and it’ll taint my faculty’s name forever?
What if my brain and my heart don’t work together?
What if I said the wrong stuff?
What if I really don’t know anything and I had to say I do?
… And the list goes on.
5 months may seem long. I just hope I can do well.
Wish me luck. I need them. Loads. In a cargo or something.
Miku ~Lots of Laugh~
Hey y’all! What’s up!
This will be the blog for all the cosplay photography and WIPs that I’ll be taking from now on. Probably going to be my main blog if I don’t find wordpress functions tedious to use.
Last Monday I had the greatest opportunity to have a photoshoot with Nana! I’m used to shooting photos for Nana ever since we were newbies to cosplay. And I’m pretty sure she’s used to me because she has gone all insane and crazy on poses.
One thing I learnt about photography is that you must be comfortable with each other in order to get the best out of anything.
Without further ado, I bring you ‘Miku ~Lots of Laugh~’!
Photographer: Piang (ME~)
Cosplayer: Nana
Super saikang warriors: Jes-su and Ping (Thank you for setting up the scene and directing poses! Thanks for the hard work!)
Photobomb-ed on the last one! Ha!
